Pasco County, Florida ? The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will host a FREE presentation on disaster assistance for businesses in Pasco County on Wednesday, August 1,and Tuesday, August 2, from 6:00 pm ? 7:30 pm at Career Central in New Port Richey (4440 Grand Avenue at the corner of Grand Boulevard and Trouble Creek Road).

Businesses and private non-profit organizations that experienced physical property damage may borrow up to $2 million from the SBA to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets due to Tropical Storm Debby.

In addition, Economic Injury Disaster Assistance is available regardless of whether the business suffered any physical property damage. Loans up to $2 million to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster are available for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private non-profit organizations of all sizes. Interest rates are as low as 3 percent for non-profit organizations and 4 percent for businesses with terms up to 30 years. Loan amounts and terms are set by the SBA and are based on each applicant?s financial condition.
